Our dearly beloved Amy M. Smith, 51 of Providence, RI passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024. Born February 8, 1973 in Providence, RI. She was the beloved daughter of Rozalyn Jones (Providence, RI) and Enoch Jones (Demopolis, AL).

She was educated in the Providence School System – she graduated from Hope High School and furthered her education at Rhode Island College, where she proudly received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.

Amy was a dedicated, loyal and a very hard worker who worked multiple jobs. She was currently employed with the State of Rhode Island, and Rhode Island College as an Office Manager of Admissions where the students adored her and she adored them.

She attended Ocean State Baptist Church, Smithfield, RI. She truly loved the Lord and her heart’s desire was that God be glorified in her life.

Amy was a people person, she enjoyed traveling, meeting people and making new friends. She always maintained a positive attitude, encouraging and inspiring all who came in contact with her. She loved to cook and enjoyed going to restaurants. She enjoyed deep sea fishing, tag sales and music. Most importantly she enjoyed family gatherings and was passionate about family unity.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter Ebony Smith who she loved dearly. Her grandchildren who were her pride and joy of who she adored, Isaiah Smith, Xazier Smith, Amiyah Smith, Zahnnai Smith, Colossians Smith and Legacy Smith; her sisters Dina Owens (Milton) of South Carolina, Tammie Murray (Michael) of Rhode Island, Benita Shelby (Jeff) of North Carolina; grandmother Helen Roberts; loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of family and friends who she loved very much.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024 10-11am with a celebration of life starting immediately at 11am at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Avenue, Lincoln, RI. Burial will follow promptly in the North Burial Ground Cemetery, 5 Branch Avenue, Providence, RI.
